Pucky Huddle Books

  by Mary Young

'Pucky Huddle' is the nickname for our little town located in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest in rural Missouri.

If you're ever in the area please visit us at the Davisville Historical Society Museum. And be sure to drop in the Davisville General Store

for a snack or a cold drink; while there you can send a postcard postmarked with the palindrome zip code- 65456 from the historic US

 Post Office, est. 1878

*Note added 10-30-13:

SADLY:-(Our little Davisville General Store in Pucky Huddle MO EST. 1899 burned down in the middle of the night, on October 24th,  2013. Our U.S. Post  Office that we fought so hard to keep open was tucked in the back corner of the store. Everyone in the town is devastated with the loss of such  a wonderful place that we've all loved for so many generations. I am currently working on a book  about the history of Davisville which will include many stories of folks' memories & photos of Pucky Huddle Missouri.

For more information you can visit our FB page:

Summer 2014 - A new family has purchased the property where the old store burned. Their last name happens to be 'Davis' how cool is that!? They are working on the plans for a NEW BUILDING! And they will include a 'Pucky Huddle Kid Corner' where my books will be featured and we'll have fun activities for kids that come to visit Pucky Huddle!

The new Pucky Huddle Store is complete and my books are there just as promised!
